2020 has been an incredibly tough year for all. As we reach the holidays I want to ensure that it is a special Christmas for as many people as possible. That is why this year I am raising money for Voluntary Services Lewisham and the 999 Club to support vulnerable children and homeless people in Lewisham.
I know how incredibly generous Lewisham residents are and by giving a small donation you will be able to provide a gift to vulnerable children and those in care or support the 999 Club's incredible work in supporting people experiencing homelessness this winter.
Thank you for your support,
Damien Egan, Mayor of Lewisham
Voluntary Services Lewisham (VSL) has been raising money in Lewisham every Christmas for over 50 years. Last year they supported over 800 vulnerable children by purchasing toys, gift vouchers, books and festive treats. For some of these children this will be the only present they shall receive. Even donating just £5 can help make this a special Christmas for vulnerable young people in Lewisham.
The 999 Club is based in Deptford and does amazing work all year round to support people experiencing homelessness.
Covid-19 has been incredibly tough for those without a home and Covid has completely changed how the charity delivers its services. By donating to the 999 Club you can support their vital work including their night shelter and employment support services. Anything you can donate will make a huge difference.
